how to draw the Andrew Loomis head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FMc0dFqt8c #drawing #head #loomis

so he said something that reminded me of when I built a very very simple solo up the guitar neck, and realized I could use that as a template to build on top of. If you want to draw a portrait, draw this scaffold of a head first, and then come back and add the details of the head you are looking at.

Scaffold first, then embellish with details.

or maybe, idea -> translate to a scaffold -> embellish on the details from your idea.

have a library of scaffolds you can pick from for whatever you are doing, something you can quickly and accurately create. then add the details from your idea, then if you like that, you finalize the entire thing.

Skaffold recipe that you then add flavors on top of. Skaffold songs that you then come back and add all the details to. Skaffold pallets that you can come back and tweak for the image you want. Skaffold effects you add to pictures

now you never need to start from scratch, because you start from the scaffold, and just add the embellishments of your idea

find something you like, then go backwards and break it down into a skaffold, then use that to create your own thing.

100days of guitar day 50

1/2 way there!

Today I started working on another song, although I don't think I'm a fan of it, so I might start working on the solo from November Rain instead. That should probably keep me busy for another 50 days.

I also got some music theory audio books to listen to during down time.
